The wife of former U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover is facing a domestic violence charge stemming from an altercation with Glover and his mother after he missed the 54-hole cut at The Players Championship. Krista Glover was arrested Saturday night and taken to the St. John's County Jail.

She was released the next day after posting a $2,500 bond.

She faces a May 31 court date on misdemeanor charges of domestic violence battery and resisting arrest without violence.

According to the offense report, Glover and his wife were having an altercation after the third round of The Players Championship, where Glover shot 78. The report said that when his mother, Hershey Glover, tried to intervene, Krista Glover began attacking her.

The arresting officer noticed cuts and blood on the arms and clothing of Glover's mother. Hershey Glover also told the deputy she had been hit in the chest.
According to the report, Lucas Glover told deputies his wife gets angry when he plays poorly in a tournament, CBS affiliate WJAX-TV reports. Krista Glover called her husband a "loser," the report said, after drinking all day. "When the [PGA] Tour hears about this, you will lose your job," Krista Glover told deputies, according to WJAX-TV, citing the report. "Wait til I talk to the judge ... you will be (expletive) fired."

"Everyone is fine," Glover said. "Regrettably, although Krista was charged, we are comfortable that the judicial system is able to address what actually happened and Krista will be cleared in this private matter."

The sheriff's report said Glover's mother declined to pursue charges.

According to the report, Glover's wife resisted being placed in the back seat of a patrol car and damaged the door by repeatedly kicking it.

Glover and his wife have two children, a daughter who turned 5 on Monday and a 2-year-old son. He has three PGA Tour victories, including the 2009 U.S. Open at Bethpage Black. He also has played in the Presidents Cup twice.

"We are aware of the situation and Lucas informed us of his statement, which has since been posted to his Twitter account," the PGA Tour said in a statement. "Of course, we are here to provide support to Lucas and his family if needed; however, we are also respecting their request for privacy during this time."

He keeps thinking that if he just tells himself (and everyone else) that everything is fine enough times then everything will be fine, uh NO it won't, she will get worse, if she hasn't already. She looks as if she needs to be committed for her and her family's safety.

I think Krista is pretty damn fine. Sure she get's a little crazy when she's been drinking and her pussy loser of a husband plays a shitty round of golf, but all women have a little crazy in them.

It's one thing for him to turn a cheek towards how she behaves towards him, but dude really is a loser if he'd let his wife assault his mother and then made excuses on her behalf for it.

What I want to know is why she's not being charged with battery or death threats against the cops. Those charges would be a whole lot harder for her to fight than a DV against a husband who refuses to press charges. It shouldnt matter that the mother declined to press charges for battery when there was obvious injuries.

Can see the arrest report here, there's more than what the news channels are saying about it
