A fire alarm in Edinburgh saw kinky-clad clubbers forced onto the street in “jockstraps, harnesses, rubber and footie kits” last night.
The fire saw punters from the legendary GHQ club on Picardy Place evacuated after a ‘small fire started in an upstairs room’.
The club night 'DILF', aimed at men only, was being held at the nightclub and is described as: “A dark, dirty and sexy house music dance party, hosting regular nights in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London and Manchester.”
The crowded venue was hosting the event when the alarm when off – sending customers onto the streets in their raunchiest gear.
Punters took to social media to laugh about the hilarious incident.
One Twitter user said: “Fire alarm at dilf and all of the kinky folk in Edinburgh are standing in the street in jocks, harnesses, rubber and footie kit.”
Manager Taylor Crockett wrote on Facebook: “At around 1:45 a small fire broke out in our upstairs toilet.
“This triggered our fire alarm and automatically our evacuation procedure kicked in.
“Lucky our floor manager managed to extinguish most of the fire using our extinguisher systems and contained the area until the fire department could assist.
“We would like to say a massive thank you to the quick response of the Fire Department, Police, GHQ and DILF Staff who worked quickly to evacuate and clear the area.
“The upstairs has suffered minor damage and we cannot be more happy that no people were hurt in the incident."
The club later posted: "Apologies for the delay. We have now been given the all clear from the fire department to re-enter the building today. Staff will be at GHQ from 6pm - 8pm for those who have items that need to be collected."
