Indiana State Police are searching the Wabash River in northern Indiana after a podcast linked the area to the killings of two teenagers from Delphi.

Abby Williams, 13, and Liberty "Libby" German, 14, went for a hike on Feb. 13, 2017, on the popular Monon High Bridge Trail in Delphi when they vanished. Their bodies were found the next day, and the case remains unsolved.
Investigators have spent weeks using metal detectors and scuba gear to search the area about two miles from the home where Kegan Kline, of Peru, Indiana, was living with his father on Feb. 26, 2017. The home was raided in the weeks after the bodies of Williams and German were found in Delphi.

Last week, podcasters with The Murder Sheet revealed photos they had taken of divers searching the area. They said that their understanding "from an anonymous source" was that the search "is connected to something involving" Kline.

Kline, who faces 30 counts of child pornography, was linked to the case after court documents reveal that investigators found chats, photos and other evidence indicating he had communicated with them shortly before they were killed.

Neither state police or the FBI have not yet commented on the search efforts, which come on the heels of a judge unsealing court documents in Kline's child pornography case.

Investigators said Kline was using a fake social media account using the alias "anthony shots" to communicate with teens on Snapchat and Instagram. The account user posted profile images of a male model that portrayed himself as a wealthy man with sports cars in an effort to talk to young girls, solicit nude images and attempt to arrange meetings with them.

Kline is not charged in relation to the girls' murders and has denied any connection, although he was interviewed by a state trooper and a sheriff's deputy about his communication with Libby, and his home was searched 12 days after their murders.

Investigators said he admitted to speaking to about 15 underage girls and getting images from "every one of them." According to the affidavit, he told investigators that the girls' ages ranged from 15-17, and he probably received 100 sexual images from the girls.

Kline remains jailed with a $265,000 bond in the child porn case.

Whatever happened with the guy who had kidnapped, raped, and beat a nine year old girl who only survived because he was an idiot? I recall that he resembled the sketch very well and was local to the area. I’m sure he was featured on DD but I don’t recall his name. He seemed like a very viable suspect to me.

Indiana child porn suspect tied to Delphi murders soliciting sexual favors from prison

A suspect accused of possessing child pornography who is tied to the 2017 murders of two teenage girls in Delphi, Indiana, has been soliciting sexual favors from women who write him in prison, according to two podcast hosts.

“In addition to wanting money, women have been contacting him, and he is trying to exploit them sexually in order to give them information about the case,” podcast host and attorney Kevin Greenlee told Fox News Digital. “There was a particularly striking exchange where a … young woman was asking about the case and talking about church, and he responded very quickly by turning it into a sexual conversation.”

Kegan Kline, 27, is currently in custody in Miami County, Indiana, for 30 counts of child pornography-related charges dating back to 2016 and 2017. He was linked to the Delphi murders after he was reportedly in contact with one of the victims, 14-year-old Libby German, the night before she was murdered, according to FOX 59 Indianapolis.

German and Abigail Williams, 13, were found murdered on the morning of Feb. 13, 2017, after German’s sister dropped the pair off at the entrance of a hiking trail the day prior.

Kline allegedly made plans to meet up with German at the bridge where her body was found the next day, but he denies that he had anything to do with the girls’ killings and has not been charged in connection to the Delphi case.

I'm seeing online his name is Richard Allen. Which isn't a name I've heard mentioned this whole time which kind of surprised me. From what I've read he's 50 and married. His wife must be horrified. Pictures im finding online dont really match the sketches in my opinion.

The one pic he is posing and his wanted sketch is behind him. In another his daughter is on the same bridge a year after the murder.

I honestly thought they'd never catch the guy, just because there were so many theories that the girls were murdered by a trucker/drifter/someone passing through. The fact that he was right there all along is chilling. I understand why the families are so shaken by that. It's a small town; they very likely could have passed him on the street, sat across from him in a restaurant, etc.

I hope he truly is the killer so he can be properly punished (hopefully) and the families can get some measure of closure.

Updates here.

There was a presser this morning and afterwards they took a few questions from the journalists.

"Is it true that Richard Allen worked at the CVS in town as a pharmacy tech?" Yes

"Is it true that he helped them get flyers printed at the store?" Yes

"Is it true that he paid for the flyers out of his own money to contribute to the effort?" Yes

Such a sick bastard! He's got a wife, 2 kids, and he was hiding in plain sight just like the cop said when this first started.

**of course this is from memory and is most definitely paraphrased.

Okay so I’ve been reading up on the newest details of this case. The big question (on Reddit, etc) seems to be how this guy wasn’t on their radar in any way, and he didn’t even have a criminal record, so what happened all of a sudden that gave investigators what they needed to arrest him? I think I have a possible idea, hear me out…so one of the main investigators had said (and it’s on film as part of the HLN show about the case) that they did have fingerprints from evidence at the scene, prints that were from the (at the time still unidentified) offender. So of course they run the prints through databases, no match. They probably periodically rerun the prints because maybe at some point after the crime, the offender does something else that ends up with his prints being added (like if he didn’t have a record before the murders but got arrested for something else AFTER the murders). But Richard Allen had no arrest and no record when they announced him as the suspect. So what could have happened between the murders and one week ago?

He became a pharmacy technician. From what I’ve read, he was not yet a tech at the time of the murders; though he did work at CVS, he wasn‘t behind the pharmacy counter. I bet that pharmacy techs have to have fingerprints on file. As a person who has to take a few controlled prescriptions for over a decade, I am sure that anyone with professional access to handle, count, fill, etc things like Vicodin and morphine and oxy and Xanax etc etc etc is fingerprinted. Whether it’s a federal or state requirement that the prints be kept on file, or it’s that CVS has to/chooses to run a background check on their potential pharmacy techs and taking prints is part of that check, I don’t know. But my money is on an unexpected fingerprint hit…like say, during the latest periodic search they did of the database, this completely unexpected match pops up. Then they surreptitiously learn more about the person whose fingers have those prints and see that yes he is a viable suspect. Just my $.02.

The man accused of murdering two teen girls in Delphi, Indiana, has written a letter to the court begging for a public defender because he can’t afford to hire a lawyer.

“I, Richard M. Allen, hereby throw myself at the mercy of the court. I am begging to be provided with legal assistance in a public defender or whatever help is available,” he wrote in the letter to Carroll Circuit Court obtained by the Journal & Courier.
Allen, 50, of Delphi, is charged with two counts of murder in the killings of 14-year-old Libby German and 13-year-old Abby Williams on Feb. 13, 2017.

I want to get all excited bc there is an actual arrest, but I haven’t much confidence in Carroll County SO or the ISP.

Those sketches who are supposed to be of the same guy (okay, sure, pass the pipe), the super dramatic tone of the pressers without actually clearing up ANY of the confusion re: those stupid fucking sketches, and now the PCA is sealed?

I hope I am wrong but I have to wonder if there is some flimsy af evidence in there. I mean, usually even to get a SW, you have to show some pretty strong PC, but who knows wtf goes on up there?

Maybe this is the guy, finally. I hope so. But he doesn’t look ANYTHING like either sketch. (Which look nothing like each other, for that matter) And sealing the affidavit is just sketch to me. LE has been all over the place with this case and it comes off as if they are just throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks.

Hopefully, they got the guy and they will be able to finally clear up all the ambiguity and conflicting info they released.

I have a hunch that KAK is the link, here. He maybe doesn’t actually KNOW RA, but perhaps traded some materials with him and in the course of trying to plead out of some of his charges gave LE the info they needed to lead them to RA.

Could Kline and Allen have known each other by sharing child porn? And wasn't it Klein who contacted Abbey the night before, with a plan to meet on the bridge, but Allen showed up instead?
This is along the lines of what I am thinking…….seems way too coincidental

Kline ran the Anthony Shots Snapchat/Instagram accounts but it has been stated by him and confirmed by law enforcement that he allowed others to have access to it.

Kegan Kline has been sitting in the Miami County Jail since the summer of 2020, accused of at least 25 counts of child exploitation, child pornography and other charges that landed him in the crosshairs of investigators trying to solve the murders of Abby Williams and Libby German near the Monon High Bridge east of Delphi in 2017.
Kline allegedly communicated via social media with Libby the night before her death and on Thursday, the 28-year-old Peru man is set to plead guilty to more than two dozen counts lodged against him according to a motion filed by Deputy Prosecutor Courtney Alwine late last week.

Nowhere in the motion is there any indication of a reduction or dismissal of charges in consideration of the guilty pleas or a promise by Kline to help detectives and prosecutors in any future undetermined criminal investigations.

"It’s unusual for there to be a situation where a defendant suddenly decides to plead guilty, especially so soon before a trial, without getting some sort of a deal or some sort of an inducement, whether large or small, in order to persuade him to change his mind," said Murder Sheet Podcast Co-Host Kevin Greenlee, a practicing attorney. "So it's a little strange that there is no sign that Kegan Kline has gotten any sort of inducement to do this."

Kline has never been charged for any role in the murders of which Delphi resident Richard Allen stands accused.

Kline's apparent change of his not guilty plea comes one month after the state presented its witness list intentions to call not only investigators to the stand but also his family and friends to testify at Kline's scheduled trial in May.

"The upside for Kegan Kline to plead guilty to avoid a trial would be, for one thing, all of the details and facts, some of which I'm sure he would find embarrassing, might not be revealed to the public," said Greenlee. "Certainly when we saw the witness list in the trial come out a couple of weeks ago, it included the names of people who were quite close to him. It is entirely possible that Kegan Kline has spent some time thinking about what those people might say in open court and to the world."

Greenlee said the advantage to the state to enter the plea agreement to all charges would be a reduced investment of preparation time and budget for the trial and the elimination of the uncertainty of a jury's verdict.

The state also agreed to stop referring to Kline's alleged victims as juveniles.

Kevin Kline Gets 40 Years for Child Pornography

Kevin Anthony Kline, a man who admitted to communicating with Liberty “Libby” German, one of two teenagers killed while on a hike in Delphi, Ind., in 2017, was sentenced Thursday to 40 years in prison for a host of charges unrelated to the murders including child pornography and child exploitation.

Kline, who was eventually cleared in connection to the best friends’ murders, acknowledged using the Snapchat and Instagram handle "anthony_shots" to talk with Libby, 14, while maintaining his innocence in their deaths. He was never named as a suspect in their case.

Richard Allen has since been charged with the girls' murders, and in June he allegedly confessed to their killings in a jail call with his wife, authorities have said.

Investigators stumbled upon another child solicitor while looking for the girls’ murderer.

While under investigation for the Delphi murders, law enforcement uncovered evidence of Kline’s child-related crimes, leading to more than a dozen charges. By the time investigators were done, Kline faced 30 criminal charges unrelated to the best friends.

In addition to his "anthony_shots" account, Kline catfished girls all over the country, ages 12 to 18, with the social media account “Emily Ann.”

Kline began catfishing young girls because he was upset that women did not respond to his actual dating profile, Miami County Probation Officer Cathy Knight testified.

"Would you have sex with my dad?" he would ask young girls through Emily Ann, sharing his actual social media page, the outlet reported. Kline amassed more than 100 sexual images, and investigators identified a handful of underage victims among them, according to the outlet.

Kline has continued trying to have conversations about sex with random women while incarcerated, according to court testimony.

Kline pleaded guilty to 25 criminal charges, among them child exploitation, child solicitation, possession of child pornography, identity theft and obstruction of justice.

Miami Circuit Court Judge Timothy P. Spahr sentenced Kline to 43 years in prison with three years suspended Thursday. Kline was credited for the 1,429 days he has already spent behind bars. Following his release, he will remain on probation another three years.

In court Thursday, Kline wept as he read aloud a prepared apology designed to get a lower sentence from the judge, the outlet reported. “I was in a deep state of depression and shut in my house,” he told the judge, adding: “I made fake profiles because of my loneliness.”

Saying he never planned to meet up with any of the girls, he apologized to “each and every victim,” including the man whose image he had used for the anthony_shots profile. He lamented other bad life choices, including that he had never bothered to get a high school diploma or a driver’s license.

Boo-f'n-hoo.

The nut job is trying to claim he is innocent & it was Odinist & ritual sacrifice. Think he intentionally salted crime scene to lead investigators astray & create a knee jerk reaction first scenario. Since satanism is passed for sacrifices he went with Odinist as area would have both. Issue is, if ever there were modern heathen sacrifices they wouldn't be little girls unless way early in time thralls (slaves) to go with a def warrior to serve in afterlife
Sacrifices done at/around Jol/Yule were usually criminals from all I have read. Just found out about this & when pulled up article & saw him & video with him just knew this was the right guy

Richard Allen's attorneys have turned to crowdfunding to raise money for expert witnesses for the defense. As of today, $24,570 has been raised; the goal is $25,000. Allen's attorneys allege that the presiding judge, Fran Gull, has been denying the defense team's requests for funds and reimbursements and they turned to crowdfunding to make sure that Allen gets a fair trial. They've emphasized that the money raised will not go to them or to Allen, but for expert witnesses.
